I never thought that "I" would have a difficult time with positioning myself.
hrmm.. Well yes I love SEO and I have been workings as a Specialist for over 10 years now. But I actually do much more that just a straight SEO Company would for their clients.
I advise and council on many all over marketing things. From online to more conventional marketing techniques. Maybe this wouldn't be such a problem if I did not do a market analysis when reviewing websites.
This pas week I have had to tell 3 potential clients that I would not offer them a contract based on the functionality of their web sites. Where I could have actually accepted one more in my schedule at this time. My conscious feelings were that the potential clients needed way more that just straight SEO. Even with getting traffic to their site, that wouldn't have been enough to convert to sales.
Which is where my positioning problem came in. I am currently positioned as straight SEO and that is exactly what the three people were looking for. But I had to turn them away.
